Why I am Walking 150km

May 20, 2021

Meet Lucy

Lucy is our wonderful bookkeeper here at Clear Path Accounting, and my youngest daughter.

In November last year, shortly after the birth of her first baby boy, Lucy was diagnosed with MS. As you can imagine her fiance Adam, my husband Mike and I, and our family, were devastated by this news. But Lucy’s acceptance and resilience inspires us and we will be there to support her no matter what.

There are 25,600 people living with MS across Australia and there is still no cure.

More information on MS.

So, I’m personally committed to taking on The May 50K challenge and will be leaving my limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis.  I’ve decided to up the anti and will be walking 150kms. Obviously, I would walk a million kms to find a cure for our girl!

My goal is to raise $2,000 to accelerate research into MS targeting prevention, better treatments and find cures for this cruel disease. If you feel you can, I would appreciate even the smallest donation to support my challenge.

You’ll receive a tax-deductible receipt to claim your donation in this financial year – tax time (June 30) is coming!
